Thunder Bolt and Lightning
This piece continues my series of hand carved war clubs which incorporates a vintage Pontiac hood ornament. By taking the appropriated Native image of the hood ornament and reclaiming it by incorporating it into something that's actually Native. Featuring a hand painted lightening bolt that references several pop culture icons - first: a nod to car culture, Greased Lightening, the hand carved weapon of choice "Wonderboy" from the Natural and the resonating sounds of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
